ART BLOG ART BLOG is extremely pleased to announce the opening of "Out of Practice," curated by NUDASHANK. This show is the second in a series of exhibitions ART BLOG ART BLOG is presenting at a temporary location in Chelsea, NY on the 11th floor of 508 West 26th St. An opening reception will be held on Friday, June 3rd from 6-9 p.m. The exhibition runs through Saturday, June 18th. Open hours will be Wednesdays - Saturdays from Noon- 6p.m. and by appointment.

"Out of Practice" draws parallels between work that reflects its own materiality, deconstructs its own creation, and refers directly to the studio environment in which it was created. This meta approach serves as the basis for finding new ways to experiment within the medium of painting- expanding its limits, while drawing from a rich history of influences. In realizing such direct combinations of canvas, wood, paper, and pigment, the works in this exhibition evince a formalist minimalism as vestige of the long hours spent alone in the studio.

NUDASHANK is an artist-run gallery in Baltimore, MD owned and operated by Seth Adelsberger and Alex Ebstein. They have collaboratively curated over 20 exhibitions since the gallery’s inception in March of 2009. This show is their first curatorial effort in NYC.
